Christmas Message from Mr McCann
Christmas Message from Mr McCann
Dear Parents and Carers
We have come to the end of a long term and the whole school community is looking forward to a well-earned rest. The prospect of Christmas cheers us and lifts our spirits, even in the midst of COVID-19 and the uncertainties that lie ahead.
Advent in school is a magical time, staff have worked extremely hard to deliver concerts and nativities reminding us all of the true reason for the season. Listening to children sing and seeing the pride in their faces when they deliver their lines, truly warms our hearts.
As my first term at Our Lady of Lourdes draws to a close, it is with humility and gratitude that I look back on the term. Thank you for welcoming me to the school community so warmly. It has been lovely getting to know you and seeing you each morning and afternoon. As we all are, I am ready for a break, however the excitement that I have for the rest of the year is immense.
Our school continues to grow with additional children starting all of the time which is a wonderful compliment and testimony to the team here. We have a number of children joining us in January and we can’t wait to welcome them into our family.
I am sure that pupils, parents and carers would like to join with me in thanking all of the staff and governors at Our lady of Lourdes for their continued tremendous hard work and commitment to the children of our school. Likewise, we the staff, governors and children would like to thank all our families for all your support. Last but in no way least, we the rest of the school community, thank our children – you are indeed some of the best children I have ever had the pleasure of working with and without a doubt the very best part of Our Lady of Lourdes!
I pray for and wish everyone peace and happiness in all homes and families during this holiday – may we all be safe and keep healthy. Wishing you all a very happy and holy Christmas! Enjoy the turkey, the mince pies, the biscuits and sweets and best of all making memories as a family.
See you all in January 2022!
God bless
Mr D. McCann
