The children, staff and Governors at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Nursery and Primary School offer you a very warm welcome. My name is Darren McCann and I am the very, very proud headteacher here. I have been in post since September 2021 and we are now into the academic year 2023-2024! Time flies when you are having fun! 

We are delighted you have expressed an interest in our lovely school. We are rightly proud of our school and its clear ethos that shows that God is truly with us. We have a clear mission that follows Mary as our inspirational role model. With her guidance we try to become a faithful family of God that treats each other the way we want to be treated.

Our mission statement - ‘Live, Love, Learn’ – captures our desire to follow the example of Christ in welcoming, nurturing and developing each individual as a unique and precious gift, created in the image and likeness of God.

We recognise the dignity of every individual and seek to celebrate the ambitions and talents of all. Our dedicated staff team are committed to doing their very best to support each pupil to grow spiritually, intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically.

Ultimately, we aim to help our children become active, ethical and educated citizens who are fully prepared to assume their role in 21st Century society.

We hope that this website will give you an insight into the life of our wonderful school. Choosing the right school is one of the most important decisions you will make for your child so we strongly believe that there is no substitute for visiting the school to see for yourself, where you will be made to feel very welcome.
