Home School Association (HSA)
Welcome to Our Lady of Lourdes School HSA
Why do we have a HSA (Home School Association)?
We are fortunate at our school to have a HSA that’s an integral part of the school community. Over the last 27 years we have raised thousands of pounds, which has been spent on equipment and resources to enhance our children’s educational experience and the school’s facilities.
Our association is about much more than simply fundraising. The HSA exists to provide closer links between home and school and it is an excellent way to bring staff, parents and friends together socially in support of the school, working towards a common goal. It’s fun too - just ask any of the Committee members or volunteers.
All families are automatically members of the HSA when their child joins our school. All parents and members of the school community are encouraged to get involved, even if they only have a small amount of time available.
Role of the Committee
The Committee meet on a regular basis with smaller working groups meeting as necessary when we are planning larger events. The Committee also hold open PTA meetings, any member can come along, find out what the association are planning, share ideas and get involved.
Our Committee consists of: Chair Gillian White, Vice Chair Sarah Hill, Treasurer Nicola Taylor, Secretary Stella Chisnell, Catering Manager Karen Giles and our Committee Members.
We welcome any help from parents, teachers and friends, and have a growing list of volunteers who commit some of their time to helping the association. Every little helps, so just one hour of assisting at an event, wrapping lucky dip prizes or folding raffle tickets (just a few examples) would be invaluable. If you would like to join us please speak to a committee member, come along to our next meeting or email us – firstname.lastname@example.org.
We look forward to seeing you at our next meeting.

New for the Easter Holidays Penny Hunt. Looking for something to do over the Easter Holidays then why not have a go at our Penny Hunt? All you have to do is purchase the Penny Hunt form and find the items on the list.
The hunt is easy and everyone from Nursery – Y6 can get involved. All you need to do is go to your front gate and toss a coin. If it lands on heads go left if it lands on tails go right. As you walk along the road look out for the specific items on your list and tick them off (lists are different for infants & juniors). When you get to a junction/crossroads toss the coin again to choose your route (heads left, tails right) and so on.
When you have found all the items on the list return your form to school after the Easter Holidays and be in with a chance to win a £10 Southport Gift Card. We will have one winner from the infants and one winner from the juniors, chosen at random. All forms have to be returned to school by Wednesday 14th April.
Forms can be purchased, for £1 each, by sending the money into school or by bank transfer to Our Lady of Lourdes Home School Association, Sort Code 09-01-29 Account Number 11760391. Please include your child’s name & class with your bank transfer payment.
Once we have received your payment the form will be emailed to you via your child’s school email. If you are unable to print out a form, please let the class teacher know and they will arrange for a form to be sent home with your child.
All forms must be purchased by Thursday 25th March.
Have fun in the fresh air and good luck!
